The handcuffed and bloodied bodies of two suspected "salvage" or summary execution victims were found early Saturday morning in Marilog district in Davao City.
Radio dzBB's Davao affiliate reported the bodies bore gunshot wounds and were bound at the hands and feet, and had masking tape covering their mouths.
Police quoted residents as saying they heard successive gunshots Friday night but could not immediately find out what happened.
Local residents who went to the area early Saturday morning to investigate Friday night's gunfire sounds found the bloodied bodies.
Investigators theorized the two may have been picked up elsewhere, then shot dead in the area where they were found.
Police are also looking into the background of the victims to see if they were linked to past crimes such as robberies and muggings. — LBG, GMANews.TV
