ROME, Italy – Filipino medical volunteers continue to provide services to compatriots who are too busy to go for a check up at hospitals.
Dr. Faircy Gillado works as a domestic worker and studies in Rome to be able to practice optometry in Italy.
The 50-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) spends her vacant time helping out at the Sentro Pilipino in Rome to serve compatriots.
The volunteers ask for donations to be able to buy supplies and medicines to serve the increasing number of Pinoy patients who attend the event every week.
“Sana kung mayroong maganda ang loob diyan, makukumpleto namin ang aming klinika,” appealed Prima Mendoza Onate, a midwife volunteer. Diego Evangelista, ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau
