4 killed in Zamboanga massacre

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Four people, including a 10-year-old, were killed when armed men strafed and burned their house Friday night in Zamboanga City, police said.
 
The victims were identified as Akmadol Maharadol, Radzma Maharadol, Tong Maharadol, and Iyong Maharadol.
 
All died of bullet wounds, investigators said.
 
The victims were new residents of Panubigan and previously lived in Olutangga, Zamboanga del Dibugay. 
 
The victims' father, Akmadol, worked as a tenant farmer in a parcel of a land in the area. 
 
Police turned over a survivor, a 2-year old baby girl, to the victims’ relatives in Zamboanga City. She was unharmed. 
 
Police recovered multiple spent bullet cartridges and live ammunition near the house. 
 
The suspects are believed to have fled toward Zamboanga Sibugay.
