Phivolcs: Magnitude-3.9 quake rocks Antique

A magnitude-3.9 quake rocked Antique province in Western Visayas early Saturday, but state seismologists said no damage or casualty was expected.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded at 7:15 a.m., and was tectonic in origin.

A Phivolcs bulletin said the quake's epicenter was traced to 13 km southwest of Anini-Y town in Antique.

It said the quake was felt at Intensity III in Anini-Y, Antique, but no aftershock was expected. — LBG, GMANews.TV
