Young scored a season-high 23 points in one of his best performances of the season, Lou Williams added 19 and the Philadelphia 76ers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 90-79 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.

TORONTO(AP) Andrea Bargnani scored 26 points, Linas Kleiza had 17 and the Toronto Raptors beat the Houston Rockets 106-96 Friday night to win consecutive games for the first time this season.


Arenas, Hinrich lead Wizards over Grizzlies 89-86


Gilbert Arenas scored 24 points and Kirk Hinrich added 22 as Washington got its fourth win in 11 games with an 89-86 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies 89-86 on Friday night.


James, Heat rally late to beat Bobcats, 95-87


MIAMI(AP) Dwyane Wade's night perfectly summed up the way things went for the Miami Heat. Fast start, frightening finish, with more than a few queasy moments.

In the end, LeBron James and Chris Bosh proved to be suitable medicine.
James scored 32 points, Bosh added 22 points and 14 rebounds, and the Heat wasted another huge lead before rallying to beat the Charlotte Bobcats 95-87 on Friday night.

Barnes' sharpshooting lifts Lakers over Wolves


MINNEAPOLIS(AP) Lamar Odom and the Los Angeles Lakers didn't take Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves for granted this time.

The defending NBA champions were ready from the start, and that was bad news for a young team that thought it was finally starting to figure things out.
Kobe Bryant had 23 points and eight rebounds, and Matt Barnes scored 24 on 7-of-7 shooting to lead the Lakers to a 112-95 victory over the Timberwolves on Friday night.

West scores season-best 34, Hornets beat Cavs


NEW ORLEANS(AP) Even while giving up 100 points for the first time this season, the New Orleans Hornets still won with their defense.

David West scored a season-high 34 points, and the Hornets held Cleveland to 35 percent shooting and survived a late flurry to beat the Cavaliers 108-101 Friday night.
Cleveland, which trailed by double digits for the first 20 minutes of the second half, pulled within 104-101 on three free throws by Antawn Jamison with 21 seconds left. New Orleans' Marco Belinelli hit two foul shots two seconds later, and Trevor Ariza stole the ball from Ramon Sessions to seal the victory.

Duncan sets Spurs' scoring mark in win over Jazz


SALT LAKE CITY(AP) Tim Duncan set San Antonio's career scoring record, Tony Parker blocked out jeers from the crowd for 24 points, and the Spurs beat the Utah Jazz 94-82 on Friday night for their ninth straight victory.

Duncan needed 13 points to eclipse the mark set by David Robinson over 14 seasons (20,790), and finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds for yet another double-double.
The Spurs improved to 10-1 for the first time.
