The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will suspend passport operations on January 22, Saturday, for a systems maintenance check.
In an announcement posted on its website on Tuesday, the DFA said applicants scheduled for passport processing on January 22 may reschedule their appointments anytime until February 17.
"Passport applicants whose appointments are scheduled on January 22 will be accommodated for processing on any working day (Monday to Friday) from January 24 (Monday) to February 17 (Thursday) at any time between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.," the DFA said.
It did not provide details on the systems maintenance check. – VVP, GMANews.TV
I processed my passport for renewal last jan25'11 and I paid 1250pesos for a rush since I badly needed it badly mid of feb for travel abroad...am honestly pissed off 'coz til now I don't have my new passport...is there really a problem with the releasing for feb14-18 due to technical problem at Central Bank?...that's what mr.raffy from dfa bacolod told me. government nowadays can't be rely/trust with.
