DFA names Pinay nurse killed in Saudi crash

The Department of Foreign Affairs on Saturday night identified the Filipina nurse who died in a helicopter crash in Saudi Arabia Friday.

A press release on the DFA website also said the DFA's Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs has extended assistance to the family of Rusela Pagalilauan.

"The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh is now coordinating with the employer, Saudi Armed Forces Medical Services, for the repatriation of Pagalilauan's remains," the DFA said.

It added Pagalilauan's family has been informed of the incident.

Pagalilauan was among the crew members who perished when their helicopter, owned by Saudi Armed Forces Medical Services, crashed while heading for Hawtah Bani Tamim in Southern Riyadh, 24 kilometers from the capital, to pick up a patient. (See: Pinay nurse killed in KSA chopper crash — report)
