Fetus found in plane from Abu Dhabi

Four months after a baby boy was found abandoned inside a plane that arrived in Manila from the Middle East, a fetus was found in a plane from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday night.

Radio dzBB's Denver Trinidad said a maintenance worker of Etihad Airways found the fetus inside the plane's lavatory shortly after the plane arrived.

The report cited initial information indicating that the fetus, which was wrapped in a diaper and dumped inside a trash can, was about six to seven months old.

Randy Odo, a maintenance worker of Etihad Airways, said he found the fetus while cleaning Flight EY-428, which arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on Monday.

The Southern Police District is now investigating the case.

On September 12 last year, a baby boy was found abandoned inside a Gulf Air flight that arrived at the NAIA-1. The mother turned out to be an overseas Filipino worker. — LBG/VVP, GMANews.TV
